What is a certified translation?

In Sweden, translators are authorised by the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Kammarkollegiet). A certified translation carries the translator's stamp and signature, confirming that it matches the original. If the document will be used in another country, we adapt the translation to that country's requirements – for example a translation by a sworn translator in the destination country, or an apostille.

How the translation is delivered

You receive a digital copy (PDF) for quick processing and, when the recipient requires it, the stamped original translation by tracked post. We tell you the delivery time in the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a certified translation cost?

The price depends on the language pair, the length and layout of the document, and how quickly you need it. Send a photo or scan of the document and you'll get a fixed quote free of charge.

Is a copy of the original enough?

For most assignments a clear scan or phone photo is enough. Some recipients require the translation to refer to the original or a certified copy – we'll check this with you.

Will the translation be accepted abroad?

It depends on the country. We check the destination country's requirements and, where needed, combine the translation with an apostille, legalisation or a sworn translation in that country.
